Politeknik Pos Indonesia is a vocational higher education established by The Bhakti Pos Indonesia Foundation (YPBPI), on 5 July 2001 based on SK Mendiknas No. 56/D/O/2001. Politeknik Pos Indonesia now has five Diploma III study programs which are: Informatics Engineering, Business Logistics, Informatics Management, Marketing Management, and Accounting, and one Diploma IV study program: which is Business Logistics.

As a vocational higher education with Diploma III and Diploma IV programs, Politeknik Pos Indonesia is preparing the graduates to directly play role in operational duties in industries. Basically Politeknik Pos Indonesia focuses on the business industry, especially logistics and supply chain management.

The roles of vocational higher education in supporting the logistics sector are vastly needed nationally and internationally. Nationally, the number of citizens and geographic position of Indonesia as an island nation and international trade traffic need a strong logistic system to support national defense and prosperity of the nation. With the geographical position and economic potency, and strategic demography, Indonesia should have been taking the roles as one of sat hub global logistics. In such framework, Politeknik Pos Indonesia accomplishes the mission of Higher Education TriDharma to give active contribution on the independence and development of the nation.
