As an institution of higher education that focus and to position itself on excellence supply chain and logistics field, Polytechnic Pos Indonesia has been properly supported by a central research and development that bridge the needs of applied research and development of supply chain and logistics industry with the competence of the institution. For this reason the Institute for Research and Community Service Polytechnic Pos Indonesia (LPPM-Poltekpos) role.

LPPM-Poltekpos is an institution that facilitate research activities and community service and three for professors and students of the Polytechnic Pos Indonesia. Supported by about 60 people of researchers, LPPM-Poltekpos position itself as a leading research and development partner for supply chain and logistics field for the industry. Some of the achievements of research fields, among others, related to the topics:

• Mapping and Designing Supply Chain Creative Industries.
• GIS To Strategic Siting and Logistics Shortest Route.
• Design of GIS-Based Information Systems In Controlling fertilizer distribution.
• Design Applications Based Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for Optimizing Supply Chain Management System for National Food Security.

• Analysis of Service Quality and Customer Loyalty.
• Aspects Related Legal Protection of Digital Signature Application Design.

and various topics in IT, Marketing, and Accounting relating to supply chain management. Various research and development is financed by the Directorate General of Higher-DP2M, BPPT-Research and Technology, and other third parties, as well as from internal Polytechnic Pos Indonesia.

Besides research and development, LPPM-Poltekpos also provide training applicable to the fields of competence and Logistics Supply Chain Management, Information Management, Information Technology, Marketing, and Accounting / Financial Management. Training can be shaped in-house training or special classes in Poltekpos.
